Transcendent hope to become better humans and improve humanity as a whole was present when the pandemic started. As time passed, a rush to “go back to normal” became the goal. Already we forgot that “normal” led us toward destruction because of greed and climate change. We failed to see that money is a form of energy, not a goal, and cannot substitute life.
What was the lesson, then?
Last evening I looked at the Bats coming out after sunset, silently flying towards the fields beyond the row of ugly houses. Venus brilliantly shone above. The RNA of the virus is information carried by the host organism. I realized that the virus is a messenger. A Demon, demon-strating what we are. A Katchina, challenging us to change. Hermes.
We have to put together the symbols because by doing so, the message becomes transparent. The Bat is the messenger of the Dream of Life, and he carried the virus. Hermes is the messenger, and at the same time, he carries the Caduceus, the symbol for healing, with two snakes, wings, and the Aten, the globe of light, at the top. The message also contains the solution: healing.
We made up our human society based on the consumption and spoiling of our planet. We made our cities unsustainable for life. Having to “earn a living” and urbanization make the pandemic a greater problem.
The Virus-Katchina made all we humans stop. Immediately, pollution, climate-altering emissions dropped dramatically. Animals came back reclaiming urban spaces. Plants flourished. The noise nearly ceased, and we re-discovered a different, natural Life.
The message is clear: “Stop your “mad development,” follow the Dream of Life. If you survive this, you will have to change. Unless you want to meet the next message, which will be way less kind.”
